My Name M Shaker, from UM Khalid, my father told me we are originaly from um Khalid, in 1948 we moved to toolkarem then moved to Jordan, i never seen um khalid except thru this web site. As usual fleeing from one country to the other, i ended in Houston TX.
Thank you for this wonderful information, i always think what should i tell my kids about um khalid, something i never saw never lived just in my dreams, now i have something to show my kids.

بالنسبة لصالح حمدان ، فهو كما ذكرتم مختار أم خالد .. ورشيد هو ابنه ( وهو جدي لأمي ) وكان ايضا من بعده- اي صالح- مختار أم خالد .. واسمه
رشيد صالح صلاح حمدان .. وله من الأبناء ( ممن لا يزالون على قيد الحياة ) 3 ذكور و3 إناث وهم:
حاتم ، فاروق ، فؤاد ، ثريا ، سنية ، سلوى .. وهم جميعا يعيشون حاليا في منطقة الزرقاء بالأردن .
ورشيد حمدان هو جد العقيد رشيد فؤاد حمدان مدير عام شرطة محافظة طوباس في الضفة الغربية ..

I know that most of the poeple still owned their land deeds, so why don't we present them to UN and even if not let's try to print a book that hold all these documents and let the whole world know that Palestine wasn't a LAND without People ..

No.. Um Khaled was not named after the mother of Khaled Ibn el Waleed.. it gained that name after a woman called Sabha um khaled.. it was said that she was (Imra'a saliha) who lived there. the elderly of um khaled told me that at one point there was a tomb that held her bones in a clear place in the village.
i am from um khaled too and i intend to establish a web site on the village that will come out soon.

I am from Umm Khalid . Iwas told one that my village was named after the mother of Khalid Ibn al-Walid (the great Arab military hero), is that true?
