Most of the people who used to reside in Kuwaykat, after they were ethnically cleansed by the (Israelis) in 1948 and who survived the (Israeli) targeted killing since then, live in Burj Albarajneh refugee camp in Beirut-Lebanon. Few families live in south Lebanon in the refugee camps of Ain-Alhelwah in Sidon and AL-Rashideya in Tyra.

Many families and because of the hard living conditions in Lebanon were forced to
migrate to other places like Europe, America and Australia.
